Scott Boothroyd M.R.C.V.S. Veterinary Surgeon

 

Scott has worked at RVC since startup in 1992 . Married to Carol with 2 children one of which is university  training to be a  vet. We have 3 dogs(Staffordshire Bull Terrier and French Bulldog) and 2 Gerbils . Work interests include oncology and breed related problems (especially SBTs) . Whilst not at work likes to go mountain biking in the Peaks and walking Stan (French Bulldog) to the pub .

Married to Scott who started practice with in 1992. Lives in Belper with 2 children, 3 dogs and 2 gerbils. Enjoys walking the family Staffy and Frenchie, cooking, gardening and eating out. Enjoys all aspects of general practice especially surgery.

I have been at RVC for 10 years, so im part of the furniture! I have 2 dogs Jasmine and Amber, and i am married to Adam, i enjoy camping and walking with the dogs, we like to travel abroad for holidays.

Ayla DeVelin - Head Veterinary Nurse

 

I joined the practice in 2016 and I am now a head nurse and clinical coach.

 

I have 4 dogs Aurora (Siberian Husky), Flower (Border Collie), Gorgeous George (Cocker Spaniel) and Tiberius (siberian husky) and 2 cats Tictac and Simba.

 

I enjoy spending my spare time riding my horses and relaxing my partner Chris.

Kerry Adshead - Trainee Veterinary Nurse (SVN)

 

I started working at Riverside in Jan 2016 as a nursing assistant, I am now a trainee nurse. I have a working cocker spaniel called Brandy, he is now 15! We still enjoy our adventures together in the peaks, i am originally from Manchester so i enjoy heading home at weekends to see family and friends.

Emanuel Stocia MRCVS - Emanuel qualified as a vet in 2008 in Romania, he worked in Romania for 7 years, then moved to the UK in 2015. He enjoys fishing and archery, he loves all animals, especially cats.

I have been nursing for 12 years. I enjoy playing Lego with my daughter and running around after my dog Dodger! My favourite part of nursing is medical nursing and pharmacology

Carly Alexander - Veterinary Nursing Assistant

 

I have been with the practise since April 2017. I have an animal care level 2 qualification and i am hoping to do my veterinary nursing training with Riverside in the future. I have a dog called Bailey and she is an Akita cross Staffie, she is the love of my life next to my husband. I originally went to University and studied Urban Dance in East London and got to perform in the closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics. I have always had a passion for animals and a dream to be a veterinary nurse.

I have worked in hospitality for the last 9 years, i have always had a love of animals and i am currently doing a Veterinary Support Assistant course and felt it was time for a career move, i started at RVC in March 2017. I have a young Springador called Poppy, who i love taking for long walks along the Yorkshire coast.

I qualified from Liverpool vet school in 2007 and worked at home in Cornwall for 18 months.

I joined riverside in 2009 and have really settled in the area.  I enjoy our case continuity and complex medical cases.

I have two young boys at home to keep me busy, along with a bedlington terrier, lab x Springer and two cats!

       

Emma Snowsill M.R.C.V.S. Veterinary Surgeon

 

After graduating in 2017 from the Royal Veterinary College in London, I have returned home to Derbyshire to practice as a small animal vet. I enjoy all aspects of general practice but have a particular interest in internal medicine. My animals include a rescued Staffie cross, 2 chickens, 4 ducks, a snake, and any wild animals that need a helping hand. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, guitar, badminton, spending time with friends, and being towed around the countryside by my dog!

Jess Botham  - Trainee Veterinary Nurse (SVN)

 

Hi my name is Jess. I am currently waiting to train as a veterinary nurse here at riverside veterinary centre. When not looking after animals at the vets I like to spend my time looking after farm animals and my horses.
